Use Claude Projects as a Deal Room for every enterprise opportunity

Claude Projects are one of the most underutilized features in Claude for sales. Most reps use Claude like a search engine — one conversation, one output, move on. Projects change what's possible.

What a Claude Project does

A Project stores persistent instructions — called "Project Instructions" — that apply to every conversation within that project. This means you can set up a context once and never re-enter it again.

The sales use case that changes everything

Create a project called "[COMPANY NAME] Deal Room." In the Project Instructions, paste:

  • Everything you know about the account (company background, stakeholders, org chart, known pain)
  • Your MEDDIC status for this deal
  • Your product's specific value for this account
  • Any competitive context
  • Your agreed next steps

Now every conversation in that project has full deal context. You can ask "draft a follow-up email referencing last week's technical evaluation" and Claude responds with full context — no re-explaining required.

The compounding benefit

Update the Project Instructions after every significant call. By the time you're in your 5th conversation in a deal, Claude knows the deal as well as you do. This changes the quality of every output you generate for that account.

The rule

Create a Claude Project for every deal above $X (your enterprise threshold). The setup takes 5 minutes. The benefit compounds across every conversation for the life of the deal.
