How the taxonomy works

A category is a broad area of sales work — prospecting, negotiation, account growth.

A subcategory is one specific task inside a category, such as writing a cold email opener.

The 16 categories below hold 164 subcategories between them. Every prompt sits in one of each.

Questions about categories

How are Promptifi's sales prompt categories organized?

There are 16 categories, each covering one broad area of B2B sales work. Every category holds a set of subcategories, and every prompt in the library belongs to exactly one category and one subcategory. Categories are ordered to follow the shape of a deal rather than the alphabet.

What is the difference between a category and a subcategory?

A category is the broad area — Prospecting and Pipeline Creation, for example. A subcategory is a specific task inside it, such as building a target account list. There are 16 categories and 164 subcategories in total.

Which category should I start with as an SDR, an AE, or a CSM?

An SDR usually starts in Prospecting and Pipeline Creation and in Outreach and Messaging. An AE starts in Meeting Prep and Discovery, then moves through Solution Framing, Demo and Proposal. A CSM starts in Account Management and Customer Growth. None of these are locked — every category is open to every reader.

Do I need a paid plan to use prompts in every category?

Every category is browsable without an account, and a subset of prompts in each is free to copy. The rest open with Pro. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.

How often are new prompts added to each category?

New prompts are added continuously and slotted into the existing 16 categories rather than creating new ones. The category structure itself changes rarely, so a link to a category page stays valid.
