One of the most common mistakes with AI in sales is treating it as a writing tool rather than a thinking tool. The most powerful use of AI isn't producing the final email — it's generating the analysis and insight that makes the email worth sending.
Use AI to think before you act:
Before a discovery call: Paste your research and ask the AI to identify the most likely pain hypothesis, the trigger event, and the first question worth asking. Don't wing the discovery call.
After a discovery call: Paste your notes and ask the AI for a MEDDPICC gap analysis. Find out what you know, what you don't know, and what the highest-leverage next action is.
Before a negotiation: Ask the AI to build your concession matrix and anticipate the buyer's counter-moves. Don't walk into a pricing conversation unprepared.
Before a QBR: Paste account data and ask the AI to identify the 3 tough questions you should ask before you get surprised at renewal.
The pattern: use AI as the preparation layer. The human does the talking. The AI does the pre-work analysis that used to take 2-3 hours or never happened at all.
