Let Claude find the best angle, not just execute the one you picked

One of the most powerful, least-used prompt techniques: give Claude the raw material and ask it to identify what's most useful, rather than telling it what to look at.

What this looks like

Instead of: "Write a cold email using this information about their company."

Try: "Here is everything I know about [COMPANY]: [PASTE RESEARCH]. Before writing anything, tell me: (1) which single piece of information is most valuable for personalizing outreach, (2) what is the strongest 'Why Now' angle, (3) what pain is most likely based on this context. Then write the email using the best angle you identified."

Why this works

You often know more about an account than you realize. Dumping everything into Claude and asking it to surface the best angles produces better personalization than asking it to use a specific piece of information you've already decided is relevant.

Claude often finds the stronger angle because it's processing all the context simultaneously — while you're thinking about the pieces sequentially.

Where to apply this technique

  • Pre-call research briefs: paste everything and ask Claude to identify the top 3 things worth mentioning
  • Objection prep: paste all your notes and ask Claude to identify the most likely objections before you ask for responses
  • Post-call debrief: paste rough notes and ask Claude what was most significant before asking for the CRM entry
