What prompt chaining is

Prompt chaining means running a sequence of prompts where the output of one becomes the input for the next. Each prompt has a single, focused job. The chain produces a compound output that's better than any single prompt could achieve.

Simple 3-step chain: Research to Email

1. Step 1 (Research): "Build a 5-bullet account brief for [COMPANY]: trigger event, pain area, best title to target, opening hook, anticipated objection."
2. Step 2 (Analysis): "Based on this brief: [PASTE OUTPUT]. What is the single most relevant hook for a cold email? Which pain point should I lead with?"
3. Step 3 (Writing): "Write a cold email to [TITLE] at [COMPANY] leading with [HOOK FROM STEP 2] and referencing [PAIN FROM STEP 2]. Under 100 words. Include subject line."
