10-K and Earnings Watcher

What this task does

Enterprise buyers tell the SEC things they never tell an SDR. This task reads new 10-K/10-Q filings and earnings transcripts for your named accounts and extracts the sections that map to your value prop, so your next exec touch quotes their own filing back to them.

Set up once

  1. List your top enterprise accounts with tickers in accounts.md.
  2. Note the filing sections and keywords that matter for your category (e.g. risk factors, digital initiatives) in signals.md.
  3. Run monthly, or after earnings weeks for your key accounts.

The task brief

Paste this into Claude Cowork:

Check for new 10-K, 10-Q, or earnings-call content for each account in accounts.md since [FILL IN: last run date]. Extract passages matching signals.md, quote them exactly with a citation, and for each write one talking point connecting the disclosure to what we solve. Rank accounts by relevance this cycle.

What you get back

  • Exact quotable passages from filings, with citations
  • One exec-ready talking point per account
  • A monthly ranked digest of who to touch and why

Guardrails

  • Spot-check any researched fact before you repeat it to a buyer.
  • Quote filings verbatim in prep docs, paraphrase carefully in outreach — misquoting a 10-K to a CFO ends conversations.
