Set Up Your Cowork Sales Workspace

What this task does

Every Cowork task on this page assumes a workspace that already knows your product, market, and voice. This task builds it once: a folder Claude Cowork opens at the start of every session, so you never re-explain what you sell or who you sell to.

Set up once

  1. Create a folder called sales-workspace with subfolders context, skills, and output.
  2. Open the folder in Claude Cowork and run the brief below — Cowork interviews you and writes the foundation files itself.
  3. Review brand.md, market-analysis.md, and product-marketing.md for accuracy; fix anything it guessed.
  4. Add a CLAUDE.md at the root that tells Cowork to read the context folder at session start and list available skills.

The task brief

Paste this into Claude Cowork:

Interview me to build my sales workspace foundation files. Ask one question at a time about: what I sell and to whom [FILL IN: product], my ideal customer profile, my top 3 value props, my main competitors and how I win, and my writing voice. Then write brand.md, market-analysis.md, and product-marketing.md into the context folder, and a CLAUDE.md that loads them at every session start.

What you get back

  • Three foundation files that ground every future output in your actual positioning
  • A CLAUDE.md brain file that auto-loads your context each session
  • A workspace ready for every other Cowork task in this library

Guardrails

  • Keep foundation files free of customer-confidential data — they get read into every session.
  • Update one file when positioning changes; everything downstream inherits it.
