Deals That Coach Themselves

What this task does

Deal reviews happen to the deals you're worried about; the ones that die are the ones nobody reviewed. This weekly run reads every active deal, scores health, finds the qualification gaps, and prescribes one concrete action per deal — the pre-mortem before the mortem.

Set up once

  1. Keep deal summaries current (task 12 does this automatically).
  2. Save your stage-exit criteria in context/ so 'stalled' is objective.
  3. Run Friday afternoon or Monday morning.

The task brief

Paste this into Claude Cowork:

Review every active deal in [FILL IN: pipeline/folder]. Per deal: health score 1-10 with the reason, days since meaningful buyer action, missing qualification elements, and the single next best action with suggested language. Then rank my week: the three deals needing attention first and the one deal I should consider disqualifying, with the honest reason.

What you get back

  • A full-pipeline review in fifteen minutes
  • One concrete next action per deal, not vague worry
  • A disqualification candidate — honesty that protects your quarter

Guardrails

  • Scores argue from your notes; thin notes mean soft scores — feed the machine.
  • Disqualification advice is a prompt for judgment, not an instruction.
