What this automation does: Creates a weekly account health digest for your entire book of business, automatically scoring each account for renewal risk and flagging the ones that need attention — delivered to Slack or email every Monday morning.
Time saved: 2-3 hours per week
How it works
- Build your health data tracker in Google Sheets with columns: Account Name, ARR, Renewal Date, Last Activity Date, Last QBR Date, Open Support Tickets, Champion Name/Status, NPS Score (if available), Notes.
- Update weekly after your account touchpoints (takes 10-15 min per week once set up).
- Build the automation in Make: Trigger weekly on Monday at 7am. Pull all rows from your Google Sheet. For each account, send to Claude API with: "Score this account's renewal risk 1-10 (1=certain renewal, 10=likely churn). Data: [ROW DATA]. Flag if last activity was more than 30 days ago, if renewal is within 90 days, or if open support tickets are unresolved. Output: risk score, 1-sentence rationale, 1 recommended action."
- Aggregate the responses and have Make send a formatted Slack message: Top 3 At-Risk Accounts, Top 3 Expansion Opportunities, Total book ARR renewing this quarter.
Setup time: 3-4 hours
High upfront investment, but it runs automatically every week after setup. CSMs with 30+ accounts report this is the single highest-ROI automation they've built.
