HubSpot and OpenAI deepened their partnership. ChatGPT Ads campaigns now build inside HubSpot, and a joint bundle discounts Starter and ChatGPT seats — one offer ends September 30.
Every earlier ChatGPT-and-CRM story asked a seller to leave the CRM, ask a question somewhere else, and carry the answer back by hand. This one runs the other way: the ad campaign gets built where the deal records already live, so the audience you target and the pipeline you report on are drawn from the same data on the same day. The practical change for a rep is smaller and more useful than the announcement sounds — a buyer who meets your sponsored result inside ChatGPT can now be traced to a HubSpot record without a spreadsheet in between.
Three terms here do real work. A "CRM integration for ChatGPT" — the connector — means ChatGPT can read your HubSpot data when you ask it a question, so "which deals slipped this month" gets answered from your records rather than from guesswork. "ChatGPT Ads" are sponsored placements that appear inside ChatGPT answers, the way sponsored results appear in search. "Weekly active users" counts how many people opened the connector in a given week, which is a usage number and not a results number: 250% more people using something is not evidence it worked for any of them. The "AI Growth Bundle" is a discount package rather than a product — HubSpot Starter at a reduced rate, a second ChatGPT Business seat free, and matched ad spend for accounts opened by the end of September.
The short version: HubSpot can now buy and measure ChatGPT ads from inside your CRM, and the matched-ad-spend part of the discount ends September 30.
HubSpot and OpenAI expanded their partnership on September 16, 2026. "HubSpot is the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads," and the integration lets a team "build campaigns, set your budget, and launch ChatGPT Ads alongside every other channel you already run." HubSpot also says it has seen "250% growth in weekly active users (WAUs) who are using the connector to analyze and manage sales pipeline, track deals based on conversations, and resolve tickets faster."
Announced: September 16, 2026, on HubSpot's company news page.
Availability: Described as live now — "Today, we are launching the first CRM integration with ChatGPT Ads for customers to build, manage, and measure campaigns directly in HubSpot." No beta, waitlist or phased rollout is mentioned.
Price: A joint "AI Growth Bundle" carries "HubSpot Starter and HubSpot credits at up to 65% off for one year," "a buy-one-get-one-free offer on ChatGPT Business seats for a year," and "a $750 match on ChatGPT Ads spend for new accounts opened by September 30." List pricing for either product is not stated.
Regions: Not stated.
What it doesn't do: The post never says which HubSpot tiers can reach the ChatGPT Ads integration, so a seller on a plan other than Starter cannot tell from this page whether it applies to them. It gives no baseline for the 250% figure — no starting number, no time window, and no definition of an active user. And it does not say whether the ChatGPT connector writes back into HubSpot records or only reads them, which is the difference between a reporting tool and something that changes your pipeline data.
SDR — You do not buy ads, so the part that touches you is the connector, not the integration. Ask ChatGPT which of your accounts had a conversation logged in the last two weeks with no next step booked; that is a question a CRM view answers badly and a connected assistant answers in one line. Do not expect it to fix the record for you — the post does not claim it can.
AE — If your company runs ChatGPT Ads, ask marketing which deals in your pipeline now carry an ad touch, because the campaign and the record finally sit in the same system. That attribution did not exist last month. It should change how you open: a buyer who arrived through a sponsored answer inside ChatGPT has already been researching, and spending the first ten minutes on education burns the part of the call where they are still willing to describe their problem.
Manager — Treat the 250% figure as the trap it is. It says adoption rose; it says nothing about pipeline, and HubSpot publishes no baseline. If you want a real number for your own team, pick one measurable thing before you roll the connector out — hours spent assembling pipeline reports, say — and record it for two weeks first. Skip that and you will end up quoting HubSpot's growth as though it were yours.
RevOps — September 30 is the only hard date on the page, and it applies to the matched ad spend for new accounts, not to the seat or Starter discounts. Check that before anyone forwards it internally as "the deal expires Friday." The open question worth raising now: the post never states whether the connector writes to HubSpot or only reads. Until that is confirmed in writing, do not give it a permission set that can modify deal records.
The skill this story asks for is not ad buying — it is putting a sharp question to an assistant that can already see your pipeline, and getting back something you can act on before the next call. Our AI-era sales work category collects the prompts for operating AI tools against real CRM data.
