Chain Steps

This is a 3-step chain for preparing and executing weekly pipeline reviews. Run before every manager 1:1 or team pipeline call.

Step 1 — Pipeline Audit

Prompt: "You are a senior sales manager conducting a pipeline review. Audit this pipeline data: [PASTE DEALS: name, stage, amount, close date, last activity, next step]. Flag: (1) Deals where close date is within 30 days but stage suggests it's unlikely, (2) Deals with no activity in the last 14 days, (3) Deals missing a confirmed next step, (4) Deals that have been in the same stage for more than [X] days. For each flagged deal, give me a 1-sentence diagnosis of the risk."

Step 2 — Deal-by-Deal Coaching Questions

Prompt: "Based on this pipeline audit: [PASTE STEP 1 OUTPUT]. For the top 5 deals by revenue, write the 2-3 most important coaching questions I should ask about each deal in my pipeline review. Focus on MEDDIC gaps, next steps, and risk. Don't write generic questions — make them specific to each deal's situation."

Step 3 — Weekly Commit & Call

Prompt: "Based on this pipeline review: [PASTE STEPS 1-2 OUTPUTS]. Build my weekly commit summary: (1) Total forecasted pipeline this week, (2) Commit (deals I'm highly confident will close this period), (3) Best case (deals that could close with positive movement), (4) Pipeline at risk (deals that need action to stay in forecast). Format as a brief narrative I can share with my manager. Under 150 words."
