Lavender vs Promptifi for Sales Email: Coach or Prompt Library?

Reviewed October 2026. Lavender prices as listed on lavender.ai, observed 27 October 2026. Vendor-documented comparison; neither product was run under comparable conditions for this page.

The short answer

Lavender and Promptifi are two different kinds of product that touch the same task. Lavender is an AI email coach that sits in your inbox, scores the email you are writing and suggests edits. Promptifi is a library of sales prompts and workflows you run inside the AI assistant you already pay for, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to produce the first draft and the sales work around it. If your emails get written but do not get replies, Lavender is built for that. If getting a usable, specific first draft out of ChatGPT or Claude takes too long for each prospect, call and follow-up, Promptifi is built for that. Many reps could use both: draft with a prompt, then score and tighten in the inbox.

What each product is

Lavender is a browser extension for Gmail and Outlook. It scores emails, offers an AI Email Writer, and shows prospect information beside the compose window. Its Team plan adds a Coaching Dashboard for managers, and its integrations, including Gong and Apollo, are available on the Individual Pro and Team plans.

Promptifi is a sales prompt and workflow library organized by sales stage and role, with prompt chains, Claude Project setups and Claude Skills. You paste the prompts into your own AI tool. Promptifi does not run the model, read your inbox or send anything, so you need your own ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot access.

Side by side

  • Job to be done. Lavender: improve the email you are writing, inside the inbox. Promptifi: get a specific first draft and the surrounding sales work (research, discovery prep, follow-up, proposals) out of the AI you already use.
  • Where it runs. Lavender: Gmail and Outlook through an extension. Promptifi: any chat AI you already have, by copy and paste; nothing to install.
  • Setup. Lavender: install the extension; a 7-day free trial that includes all integrations. Promptifi: create a free account, pick a prompt, paste it into your AI.
  • Scoring and coaching. Lavender: yes, with a manager Coaching Dashboard on Team. Promptifi: none; no scoring or reply tracking.
  • Beyond email. Lavender: prospect information inside the inbox. Promptifi: prompts for discovery prep, call debriefs, deal qualification, proposals and pipeline review.
  • Pricing (USD, observed 27 October 2026). Lavender: Basic free with 5 email analyses a month; Starter $27 a month, Individual Pro $45 a month, and Team $89 per seat a month, each billed annually (monthly billing costs more). Promptifi: free plan with 100 prompts; Pro $12 a month or $89 a year.
  • Ongoing cost. Lavender: the plan, plus any separately licensed tools you connect. Promptifi: the plan plus your AI subscription; for example, Claude Pro is $20 a month, or $17 a month billed annually, as of 27 October 2026.

A practical example

A seller is writing a first email to a VP of Sales at a mid-market software company. With Promptifi, she opens a cold email prompt, fills in her account notes and the trigger event she found, and runs it in Claude to get a draft with two subject line options. With Lavender, she writes or pastes that draft in Gmail, gets a score, and sees suggestions on length and the opening line. These are two different steps. This example describes documented features only and makes no reply-rate claim.

Where Lavender fits better

  • You want feedback on emails you write yourself, in the inbox.
  • A manager needs visibility into email quality across a team.
  • Your work is mostly outbound email in Gmail or Outlook.

Where Promptifi fits better

  • You already pay for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot and the bottleneck is the prompt, not the inbox.
  • Your sales work spans research, discovery, proposals and reviews, not only email.
  • You want a low monthly cost and nothing installed in your inbox.

Where Promptifi is not enough

Promptifi does not score, send, sequence, enrich or track anything. If you need in-inbox coaching or reply analytics, Promptifi alone will not provide it.

Limitations of this comparison

This page relies on vendor documentation. Lavender's reply-rate claims and testimonials are not repeated here. Prices change; each is dated and rechecked monthly.
